Adventure in Peru - June 25 - July 5

 We will have a grand adventure in the beautiful South American country of Peru. Highlights include:  Guided tour of Lima - Government Palace, Archbishop's Palace, City Hall, Lima Cathedral, San Francisco Monastery, walking tour of Miraflores, Larco Museum; Guided tour of Cuzco - Korikancha Temple, Cuzco Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman Fortress; Sacred Valley Service Project, including immersion in cultural activities, celebrating local customs and traditions; Machu Picchu; visit to a local after school community program in Cuzco; the Amazon Lodge where we will participate in naturalist activities; Puerto Maldonado. London to Lucerne plus Italy - July 30 - August 13

 We will visit four countries and two Girl Scout World Centers in this grand tour of Europe!  We start in London with a walking tour, a visit to Pax Lodge, a guided bus tour, a Thames River Cruise, a ride on the London Eye, and a guided tour of Windsor Castle. Then we take the Eurostar under the English Channel to Paris where we will have a walking tour, visit Notre Dame Cathedral, take a guided bus tour of Paris, visit Versailles, and visit the Louvre. The next stop is Adelboden where we will go to Our Chalet. Then it's on to Lucerne where we'll take a tour, go up to Mt. Pilatus, and enjoy a Swiss Folklore Evening. Florence is next on the itinerary. In Florence we will have a guided tour of the city, visit the Duomo, and participate in a fresco art workshop. And last, but not least, we will explore Rome... with guided tours of the highlights, plus a visit to Vatican City. Click here for more information and to register. 


Sangam - Pune, India - January 7-22

 We will head to Pune, India, to visit Sangam, a WAGGGS World Center.  While at Sangam, we will participate in the program on leadership called "Reach for the Stars". After the program, we will take a few days in Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. Total cost for this trip is around $3,200. If you are interested in joining us, contact Cheryl

Charting the Galapagos Islands - June 25-July 3

We will start our tour in Quito, Ecuador, where we will visit the Santo Domingo Monastery, take an excursion to the equatorial line, visit the Intinan Museum, take a guided tour, and participate in a salsa dance lesson. Then we'll fly to Baltra Island and travel by boat to Isabela Island where we will visit a pink flamingo habitat, go snorkeling, and explore Puerto Villamil Beach. Then it's on to Santa Cruz Island by boat where we will see the wild tortoises and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. The next island we visit is San Cristobal Island where we will hike Tijeratas Hill and visit the San Cristobal Interpretation Center. Italy & Greece - ~July 17-29

Our tour to Italy and Greece starts in Rome. On our first full day there we will take a guided tour of Vatican City, and will go to the Roman Catacombs just outside of Rome; the next day we will have a guided tour of Rome including the biggest and most famous sites there. Then we head to Florence where we will have a guided tour and visit the Duomo. We will take a night ferry over to Igoumenitsa and travel to the Meteora Region where we'll visit the Monastery there. On the way to Athens we will stop in the beautiful town of Delphi and tour there. We'll experience a Greek cultural evening after we arrive in Athens. The next day we'll have a guided tour of the best sites of Athens. Then we will head for the port where we will cruise the Greek Isles, visiting Mykonos, Samos, Patmos, Crete, and Santorini. Japan, Land of the Rising Sun - ~June 20-July 1

We will start our tour of Japan in Tokyo where we will have a guided sightseeing tour to visit Ginza, the Imperial Palace Plaza, the Metropolitan Government Building, the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the Harajuku shopping district, the Meiji Shinto Shrine, Akihabara, and Electric Town where we'll have a district-wide scavenger hunt. The next day we will visit a technology showroom, participate in a cultural activity with locals, and learn about sumo wrestling. Then we travel to Hakone via Kamakura, where we will see the Great Buddha of Kamakura, the Hachimangu Shrine, and have some time to explore Kamakura on our own. Then we will travel via Owakudani and Fuji-Hkone-Izu National Park to Odawara. We will visit Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, take a cruise on Lake Ashi, ride the Mount Komagatake cable car, and see Odawara Castle before we travel by bullet train to Kyoto. In Kyoto we will tour with an expert local guide and visit the Golden Pavillion, see a kimono show at the Nishijin Textile Center, visit Nijo Castle, and visit the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine. The next day in Kyoto we will tour the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, then we can either explore Kyoto on our own, or we can do a guided half-day excursion. We will take the bullet train to Hiroshima where we will first visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Next we travel by ferry to Miyajima Island and visit Miyajima Park and Itsukushima Shrine. Our final day in Japan will be traveling via Himeji to Osaka, with a stop at Himeji Castle on the way.  Click here for more information and to register. 

Journey Down Under - Summer


During this amazing trip we will fly overnight to New Zealand, crossing the International Date Line. We will start our trip in Rotorua where we will visit the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Area and Maori Village. We will take a Duck Tour in Rotorua, ride the Skyline Gondola, learn about jade carving in a local craftsman's shop, and enjoy an authentic Hangi feast. Then we will watch a sheep and dog show at the Agrodome before heading to Auckland and touring there. The next stop is Sydney, where we will visit the National Opal Collection, enjoy a Sydney Harbor Cruise, visit the Wild Life Sydney Zoo and the Sydney Tower, and take a walking tour of the Rocks neighborhood. The next day in Sydney we will visit the Taronga Zoo and the Sydney Opera House. Then it's on to Cairns, where we will take a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef and snorkel with a Marine Biologist. The next day we will visit Kuranda. We will have some free time in Cairns before flying to Honolulu, where we will visit the Dole Plantation and the Waimea Valley, followed by a luau in the evening. Our final day will be spent visiting the USS Arizona Memorial before flying home.  Click here for more information and to enroll.
