Day 5 - Enjoy a scenic drive along hte coast from Copenhagen to the medieval Danish town of Elsinore. On this half-day excursion you'll walk in the footsteps of Shakespeare's Hamlet and visit the famous 400-year-old Kronborg Castle. On your guided tour, see the castle's maze of secret passageways, the Great Hall, ancient silk tapestries, and the royal chambers.
Day 6 - Travel via Gränna to Stockholm, Sweden
Day 7 - Visit Stockholm City Hall; tour Stockholm with an expert local guide; visit the Vasa Museum

Day 6 - Meet with a University of Akureyri Oceanographer to learn about Iceland's biodiversity; return to Reykjavik via Gauksmyri Farm, where we'll learn about Iceland's unique horses first--hand
Day 7 -Take an excursion to Þingvellir, where we'll visit Gullfoss Waterfall, Stoker Geyser, and a greenhouse powered by geothermal and hydroelectric energy; visit the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant; visit Þingvellir National Park; Visit the Fridheimar Farm
Day 8 -Take an excursion to Alftanes Peninsula to see Bessastaðir, the official residence of the president; visit the flowing hot springs at Krýsuvík, and relax in the geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon before boarding the flight home.

Day 2 - Meet the Tour Director at the airport
Day 3 - Take a guided tour of Athens and see the Ancient Olympic Stadium, Syntagma Square, and the Acropolis. Visit the Acropolis Museum. Take a walking tour of Athens.
Day 4 - Travel to Delphi & visit the Delphi Museum. Take a guided tour of Delphi and see the Delphi Archaeological Museum and the Temple of Apollo, where Alexander the Great once asked the oracle if he would conquer the ancient world.
Day 5 - Travel via Thermopylae to the Meteora region. Stretch your legs at the battle site of Thermopylae, and strike your best Spartan pose for a photo. Visit a Meteora monastery, a town suspended in the "middle of the sky". Tour a Meteora monastery with an expert local guide
Day 6 - Travel via Dion to Thessaloniki. Stop in the traditional Greek village of Litochoro and enjoy famously awesome views of Mt. Olympus as you travel to Dion. Day 7 - Take a guided tour of Thessaloniki, Greece's second largest city and hip northern capital. You'll see the Roman Agora, the political and public center of ancient Thessaloniki, and the White Tower, a waterfront monument and museum. Enjoy a cooking class in Thessaloniki.
Day 8 - Take a guided tour of Pella, birthplace of Alexander the Great, and Vergina. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Pella and the Museum of Royal Tombs, including the tomb of Alexander's father, Philip II
Day 9: Travel via Platamonas to Athens. Enjoy a Greek evening.
Day 10 - Fly to Heraklion on the island of Crete. Take a guided tour of Heraklion and visit Knossos Palace and enjoy a cheese tasting at a local market. Take a walking tour of Heraklion and have some free time to explore.
Day 11 - Take a day trip to Agios Nikolaos. Enjoy a short, scenic boat ride from Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga Island, where you will learn the history of the former leper colony, admire the old Venetian fortress, and explore the island's other paths and historical buildings.
